The rehabilitation of the buildings, now shared by two social landlords on either side of the tram line, required different urban planning approaches. In the north, ICF Habitat, a historic subsidiary of SNCF, is demolishing only G, i.e. 30 housing units. The tenant is rehabilitating 140 housing units in buildings B, E and F and constructing 140 new mixed housing units, available for rent as well as social and free access.
190 additional housing units
In the south, near Lake Dorat, Gironde housing is undergoing a large-scale demolition-reconstruction operation: as new constructions proceed, the buildings (140 housing units) will be destroyed, which will no longer be arranged in bars but in “plots” (220 housings). . units, 140 restructured rental units and 80 others for free access).
