Sometimes small tricks work and can change the outcome of a match. For example, when two bowlers Bowling well, it takes time for batsmen to break their rhythm, something Rishabh Pant did in the T20 World Cup 2024 final. And David Miller was batting well so he called the physio and got some treatment.”
Gavaskar further said, “Rishabh Pant’s knee was strapped by the physio and play was stopped for about 4-5 minutes. This had the effect of breaking Klaassen’s rhythm and giving the captain and the bowler some time. Klaassen and Miller’s rhythm At the break, Klaasen was out on the second ball. Bumrah had given away just four runs. So they hit the outside ball and Hardik Pandya got a call for Klaasen and India got the breakthrough.
