If you want an MBA in Healthcare and Hospital Management, but don’t have time to go to a regular college. So good news for you because Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched MBA program in Healthcare and Hospital Management.

IGNOU has launched a program called Master of Business Administration in Healthcare and Hospital Management. A candidate must have secured at least 50 percent marks in graduation to take admission in the course. Reserved category candidates should have secured minimum 45% marks in graduation.

The objective of this program is to prepare a pool of skilled people who can provide good services in health care institutions, allied institutions and government and private hospitals. Through this programme, IGNOU aims to provide the best and highest level of healthcare in remote areas of the country. After completing this program, candidates will be able to work in managerial and administrative positions in healthcare organizations and related organizations.

MBA Program Fee-
1. First Semester Fee Rs. 15,500 is.
2. Second semester fee also Rs. 15,500 is.
3. Third Semester Fee Rs. 19,500 is.
4. Students have to pay a fee of Rs 17,500 in the fourth semester.

The program has a total of 112 credits over four semesters. There are seven papers in the first and second semesters, each paper carrying four credits. There will be special courses in the third and fourth semesters. Students have to do a project in the third semester as well as give a practical. Students also have to do an internship in a hospital or healthcare association for three months during the program.

During the course, students will learn inventory control, economic order quantity (EOQ), operational research, organizational development and information management. Students will learn how to solve hospital problems, make decisions, plan, and conduct medico-administrative research.
