JoSAA counseling process is going on for 59 thousand 917 seats of 121 top engineering institutes including IIT-NIT. Students can select and register till June 18. Lakhs of students are participating in JoSAA counseling of IIT-NIT based on their rank. This year, students have been given the option to fill 865 college branches of all institutions. The first mock seat allotment of JoSAA counseling will be released on June 15 at 2 pm, allotment will be done on the basis of inclusion of all the students who have filled their college choices in this counseling till June 14 at 8 pm. The first mock seat allotment will give students an idea of the chances of getting a college.

Students have to completely recheck their filled college choice list based on the colleges they got in the first mock seat allotment. Students are advised to understand the scope of colleges and branches of IIT-NIT in JoSAA counseling and make a priority list according to their interest in descending order so that if they are allotted seats in any round, they can apply through float and slide. In further counseling you can upgrade your college and branch. The entire counseling process will continue till July 26 in 5 rounds.
