The Center has decided to cancel the grace marks given in the NEET result in the Supreme Court and the students who were given the grace marks will have to retake the NEET exam. His date has also been fixed in court. It has been said that the result will also be announced by the end of June. Let us tell you that a hearing was held today on Thursday regarding the issue of grace marks in the NEET result. Not one but three petitions were being heard in the Supreme Court, including petitions regarding grace marks, re-examination and cancellation of the examination. Responding to several petitions on NEET today, the Center has informed the Supreme Court that it has decided to cancel the scorecards of 1,563 NEET-UG 2024 candidates who were given grace marks.

When will the NEET exam of 1563 be conducted again?
The Supreme Court has made it clear that only those students who have got grace marks will re-sit the NEET exam. It includes a total of 1563 students, their NEET exam will be conducted on June 23. The exam result will be out before June 30. The court has also said that the counseling will not be stopped. Then the counseling of these 1563 students will take place. The Supreme Court clearly said that only those students who have got grace marking will appear in this examination. NTA said re-examination (1563) will be held on 23rd June, followed by counseling. The NTA said the result could be out before June 30.

What were the recommendations of the NTA committee?
The Center also mentioned the steps taken to address the issue. The Center said a committee meeting was held on June 10, 11 and 12 to probe the allegations. Based on the recommendations of the committee, the scorecards of the affected candidates will be canceled and re-examination will be conducted for these students.

What did the Supreme Court say on counselling?
The Supreme Court has stayed the decision to stop the counseling process for NEET-UG 2024. The court said that the counseling will proceed as per its schedule and there will be no interruption. If the test continues then everything else will too, so no need to worry.

What did the education minister say?
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s statement after the NTA’s decision on the matter of grace marks in the NEET result has also come to the fore. He said that we have presented our side in the court. No evidence of NEET exam leaks found.
