Teams Pakistan and New Zealand have been eliminated from the T20 World Cup 2024. According to the qualifying rules for T20 World Cup 2026, the top 12 teams from the 20 ongoing T20 World Cups will directly qualify for the next tournament. India and Sri Lanka, as the hosts, will be the first two teams on the list to get direct entry to the next edition along with all the Super 8 teams. India have already qualified for the Super 8 from Group A in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Thus, India has qualified under two criteria. Pakistan team can also stay in top 12.
Other teams that are currently in the Super 8s and have direct entry to the 2026 edition are South Africa (Group D), West Indies and Afghanistan (Group C), Australia (Group B) and USA (Group A). Bangladesh or the Netherlands will advance to the next round from Group D, while Scotland and England will progress from Group B to the Super 8s and T20s. World Cup Will buy tickets for 2026. Currently, Bangladesh (226 points) are 9th, Ireland (195 points) 11th, Scotland (192 points) 12th, Zimbabwe (192 points) 13th and Namibia (189 points) 14th. 12 teams will be decided on June 30 and the remaining 8 teams will qualify for the tournament from the ICC Regional Qualification Round in this 20-team tournament. Two teams each from the Europe, Asia and Africa regional qualifiers and one team each from the East Asia Pacific and Americas regions will enter the tournament.
