On Monday, July 1, a 17-year-old Chinese badminton player tragically died of a heart attack during a match in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Zhang Zhijie was playing a match against Japan’s Kazuma Kawano at the Asia Junior Championship late on Sunday. Meanwhile, during the first game of the match, he suddenly collapsed on the court. He received medical treatment, but his life could not be saved.
