Akhtar’s post of Gita verse came as quite a surprise as posting such spiritual posts is not Akhtar’s signature. And he has made such posts frequently in the past as well. It is not clear what was the intention behind his post. However, Akhtar later removed this post from Instagram. The reason behind the removal of the post is also clearly understood. Obviously, he must have heard a strong reaction from Pakistan on this post and what not.

Earlier, 48-year-old Akhtar congratulated Team India on becoming the T20 World Cup champion. On Saturday, India won the World Cup title by defeating South Africa by 7 runs in a thrilling match. Akhtar wrote, “Rohit did the trick. Emotions really run high, India fully deserved the win.”
