UPPSC: Commission returns 3661 vacancies of teachers, LT grade and lecturer recruitment will take time to start

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has returned more than three and a half thousand (3661) vacancies of Assistant Teacher (LT Grade) and Lecturer in 2427 government schools of the state to the Department of Secondary Education. Commission has instructed to send online applications before appointment to all vacancies. Also asked to clarify about equality of educational qualification. It is clear that it will take time to start recruiting LT grades and spokespersons. On behalf of the Department of Secondary Education, an offline application for the recruitment of 3341 posts of LT grade and 320 posts of lecturers was sent to the commission two years ago, but the recruitment process was stalled due to lack of amendment in the rules of equivalence of educational qualifications. Could not start. According to sources, a proposal to amend the rules has been sent to the government and is expected to get approval from the cabinet soon.

Meanwhile, the number of vacancies for teachers has also increased. Currently more than ten thousand posts of LT Grade and Lecturer are vacant. A proposal to create seats in 88 newly constructed government schools last year is also under consideration by the government. The number will increase further after approval for this post.

Not a single eligible candidate was found in this UP government recruitment, all the posts remained vacant.

LT grade recruitment has not come since 2018
Since 2018, there has been no LT grade recruitment in government schools. Earlier, the commission had released an advertisement on 15 March 2018 for the recruitment of LT Grade Teachers for 10768 posts. There were more than two and a half thousand vacancies in it. The advertisement for the recruitment of 1473 posts of Spokesman came on 22 December 2020.
